About the programme

The five-year, full-time Master’s degree programme in Psychology at the University of Warsaw is designed for those who want to explore the human mind and behavior from both scientific and applied perspectives. Taught entirely in English, the programme provides comprehensive academic and practical training in modern psychology, preparing graduates for diverse career paths or further study. Classes take place at the Faculty of Psychology, located on the Ochota Campus in central Warsaw.

What will you learn?

Students develop solid theoretical knowledge and practical skills in areas such as:

  • biological foundations of behavior, cognition, and emotion,
  • psychological assessment and diagnostic methods,
  • developmental, clinical, health, and social psychology,
  • personality, motivation, and decision-making,
  • research design, methodology, and advanced statistical analysis,
  • ethical principles and professional standards in psychology

Additionally, students gain key interpersonal and professional competencies, including:

  • active listening and communication,
  • team collaboration and self-organization,
  • planning and conducting empirical research,
  • formulating feedback and psychological support strategies,
  • understanding multicultural and ethical dimensions of practice.

Specialization paths

From the fourth year, students select one of the following specializations:

  • Clinical Psychology
    • Neuropsychology track
    • Psychotherapy track
  • Business Psychology
  • Social Research Specialization
  • General Specialization (a flexible, mixed path with courses from various tracks)

Each specialization offers in-depth coursework, seminars, practical components, and, in some cases, supervised experience with real clients or research projects.

Graduates of the programme are equipped to work in a wide variety of roles involving people and psychological expertise, including:

  • mental health services and clinics
